Hershey's Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies

Preheat oven to 3750

In a separate bowl, stir together;

2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt

In Large Bowl Beat Until Creamy;

1 cup softened butter
¾ cup granulated sugar
¾ cup packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Add;

2 eggs and beat well

Gradually add flour mixture, beating well.

Stir in;

2 cups (12oz package) Hershey's Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool slightly, then remove from cookie sheet to wire rack to cool completely.

Makes about 5 dozen cookies.

For Toll House Cookie Bars;

Generously Grease a 9'' X 12'' or 9'' X 13'' cake pan with butter. Spread cookie batter into pan.

Bake 20 minutes or until lightly brown and tester comes out clean. Cool then cut into 1 ½'' bars.

Makes about 4 dozen cookie bars.

Simply sift 1/3 cup Hershey's Coco to the chocolate chip cookie recipe.
